#Treatment Schedule

Q How is treatment conducted when a patient visits Dongjedang for the first time with cluster headaches?

A After the initial consultation, herbal decoctions are prescribed according to the differential diagnosis of liver fire and blood stasis, and pharmacopuncture is started 2 to 3 times a week.

Detailed Answer

Initial Consultation Process

During the first visit, the frequency, duration, accompanying symptoms, and cluster pattern of attacks are assessed in detail. Bringing existing Western medical diagnoses or MRI results will be of great help in differential diagnosis. Treatment Plan Decoction: Cheongnae prescription based on herbal medicine to reduce damp-heat in the liver, taken every 2–4 weeks Acupoint Injection: Back of neck and temple areas, 2–3 times a week Follow-up Visit Schedule: Progress check every 2–4 weeks, prescription adjusted according to changes in symptoms If you visit during the cluster phase, we proceed with a more intensive schedule, and during remission, we switch to a maintenance management cycle.
